Power Converter

A power converter is a device that converts electrical energy from one form to another. The unit of measure for power converters is the watt (W), which is the rate at which electricity moves through the device. One watt can move 1 joule of energy per second.

The kilowatt (kW) measures how much power a device has; it's equal to 1000 watts. The megawatt (MW) measures how much energy a device has; it's equal to 1 million watts.
